KathNiel fans are literally #shookt over the possibility that Daniel Padilla popped the question while in Japan with Kathryn Bernardo. But are they really engaged? Let’s see…
This started when Min Bernardo, Kathryn’s mom, made a vague Instagram post. The text photo read, “May nag proposed (sic)” (Someone proposed) with hush and surprised emojis. She used the hashtags “#visitjapanphilippines” and “#kathniellovesjapan”—the ones used in the couple’s JNTO Familirisation Trip.
The couple hasn’t confirmed anything. We also tried zooming in on Kathryn’s hands for any sign of a ring. But since they’re in Japan during winter, they’re all bundled up and the actress has been wearing glove or putting her hands in her coat pockets.
There’s one photo of Kathryn without gloves while they’re in Miyajima Island. Still, no sign of a shiny rock on her finger.
So, there are two possibilities here: They’re engaged but are still keeping it under wraps; or Min is pertaining to a couple they encountered in Japan who got engaged. What do you think?
