A post shared by Jing Monis (@jingmonis)

You may know Jing Monis as a hairstylist to the stars. He’s also responsible for some of the most surprising pixie cuts of last year including Sue Ramirez and Jane Oineza. But who knew the he was going to start a YouTube channel to impart some hair knowledge to everyone?

Titled The Jing Monis: Hair Project, the hairstylist has posted two educational videos based on his years of experience. In the first one, he simply talks about the biggest trends of 2018 and 2019 for men and women, and which hairstyles are hot or not in his book. (Spoiler: He’s not into Kim K’s wet look.) This is a good watch for people who are looking for a fresh cut this year.

The next one is showing how Jing cuts a male model’s hair, making sure it suits his head shape and the texture of his hair. He also gives tips to both customers and hairstylists like being consistent with their salons/barbers and training to cut with scissors.

If you find this content interesting and beneficial for you, Hair Project releases new episodes every Thursday at 9 p.m. The next episode will be a continuation of the last video, this time, Jing will show how to style the male model’s hair. Already setting an alarm for that one.
