Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are married twice over, and they are the picture of a perfect couple. The two have been together since 2016, and announced their engagement in October 2017. I gotta be honest. I know it’s not my business, but when I first heard about them, I had my doubts. We all know young, Hollywood couples rarely last. But throughout their relationship, I became a total Jophie stan. Especially when I read about Sophie opening up about how Joe supported her during a dark time in her life. “I was going through this phase of being very mentally unwell,” she admitted. “[Joe] was, like, ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself, I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself.'”
The pair’s first “I do” happened last May, at Las Vegas. According to an Entertainment Tonight source, “Sophie and Joe knew the moment they decided to tie the knot in Vegas that they would do it ‘right’ the second time around. They both are spontaneous and loved their Vegas wedding but there was never a question as to if they would get married ‘properly,’ as they referred to it, later in the year.”
While the first one was live-streamed (thanks, Diplo), this second one was kept on the down-low. However, we have managed to gather all the available deets so far. Read on to get your #Jophie wedding fill.
Pre-wedding
It’s pretty clear: The pair knows how to have a party. Their bachelor and bachelorette (though this happened after the Vegas wedding) bashes certainly proved that. Joe spent his at a nightclub in Ibiza, and reports say things got so out of hand, that they had the cops called on them—three times!
Meanwhile, Sophie jetsetted across Europe with a bunch of her girlfriends. Her World pointed out that from social media, we can see “it involved a private jet, a wig party, swimming at the Soho House in Berlin, and attending a Jonas Brothers concert in London.”

The pre-celebrations didn’t stop there. Prior to their second wedding, the couple spent the night at the Hotel de la Mirande in Avignon, France to host a dinner for their loved ones. They reportedly had a poolside pre-wedding party, as guests were seen lounging by the chateau’s pool.
Where it happened
The official ceremony was held at the Château du Martinay in Carpentras, France. E! reports that “white elegant flowers and glass candles adorned the aisles at the ceremony site.” The reception and after-party meanwhile took place at the Château de Tourreau in Sarrians, where they also stayed for the weekend. Vogue reports, “The grand home dates back to the 18th century. The interiors are adorned with Provencal furniture and art, as well as gilded mirrors and chandeliers.” Additionally, “The seventeen-acre property also includes a courtyard with bubbling fountains, a garden, a scenic pool with its own al fresco dining area.” It also has a helipad, a movie theater, and tennis, basketball, volleyball, and squash courts.
Oh, and it’s one of the properties available on Airbnb Luxe, priced at over $7,400 a night.
Who were present
The Jonas brothers, Nick and Kevin, plus their wives, Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas, respectively, were of course present, as well as Sophie’s BFF Maisie Williams. Another GoT cast member was also seen: Lord Varys actor Conleth Hill was also at the ceremony. Another one of Sophie’s co-stars, Alexandra Shipp, who starred on Dark Phoenix, was also spotted.

Other big names seen were model Ashley Graham, Dr. Phil, and English singer Calum Scott who revealed on Twitter that he sang You Are the Reason at the wedding. And yes, Diplo was still invited and he even played a DJ set at the after-party.
Oh, and notably, Sophie and Joe’s Alaskan klee kai dog, Porky Basquiat, was present at the wedding ceremony.
What Sophie wore
During the pre-wedding dinner, Sophie wore a white Cushnie gown, while all guests wore head-to-toe white. Later, the bride and groom stood out in a red suit and dress.
As for the awaited wedding dress, Sophie and Joe finally shared the first photo shared of their wedding on IG. Walking down the aisle as a newlywed, Sophie is seen on a long-sleeve gown by Louis Vuitton.
Highlights
The deets and photos may be limited, but among those that stood out was “Joe having a Buckingham Palace-esque balcony moment at Le Château de Tourreau with his groomsmen,” like Harper’s Bazaar noted. That looks like an album cover right there.
The emotional reading of vows by the couple—which reportedly brought the guests to tears–was for sure one for the books.
Although, we have to say Porky Basquiat wearing a tux tops our list of Jophie wedding highlights.
