6 highlighters that are perfect for oily skin

A highlighter? When I already have oily skin? Sounds like a nightmare. I myself have never even thought about using highlighters when I know I would naturally oil up throughout the day. And a lot with the same skin type would say the same.

The concept of shine is usually not welcome for combination to oily skin. You usually stay away from anything described as dewy and luminizing, and highlighters are completely out of the question. Sounds familiar, right? Well, it shouldn’t be. Despite what you think you know, you can create a beautiful glow with highlighters without looking greasy.

It’s all about application and using the right highlighter for you. And if you’re having trouble looking for the perfect product, we got your back. These highlighters might just work for you.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

Create the perfect illumination for your face with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, a finishing powder that recreates the most flattering light. It captures, diffuses and softens the look of skin, instead of overly accentuating parts of the face. It gives a soft overall glow. Available on Sephora PH.

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick

Cream products would probably scare people with oily skin, but the Master Strobing Stick from Maybelline shouldn’t. Beauty vlogger That’s So Nik highly raves about this product that gives the right amount of glow for her oily skin. Available at Watsons.

3CE Strobing Skin Palette

3CE is a Korean makeup line, and no one knows oily skincare better than them. The Strobing Skin Palette is a translucent illuminator with a powdery finish that sits beautifully on the face throughout the day. The multi-dimensional illuminator features shimmering pearl particles for a radiant effect without a heavy metallic finish. Available on Sephora PH.

Colourpop Supershock Cheek

Colourpop’s famous Super Shock formula has a bouncy texture that creates the ultimate glow. Beauty guru Tati Westbrook raves about it’s buildable, blendable, and buttery soft formula that is perfect for those with combination to oily skin. Available online.

Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick

Rihanna has been slaying the beauty market with Fenty Beauty, and as much as her foundations vary in many different skin tones, her products also cater to all skin types. The Shimmer Skinstick is a long-wear, light-as-air shimmer formula for highlighting, blush, and bronze in a range of playful shades. Available on Sephora PH.
