Cathy Garcia-Molina will be directing Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s comeback teleserye called “Make It With You.”
Star Creatives, the team behind “Dolce Amore” and “Forevermore,” announced that they will be producing LizQuen’s new serye, and that it will be partly set in Croatia. They showed a live video of the real-life and onscreen couple, director Cathy, and cast member Fumiya Sankai on set location abroad.
“In the story, kailangan naming ng isang bansa na malayo ang Pilipinas at kakaunti ang Pilipino,” (In the story, we need a country that’s far from the Philippines and where there are only a few Filipinos) Garcia-Molina said about the choice of setting.
“Through research, napag-alaman na dito sa Croatia, sobrang kaunti ng Pinoy (we found out that there are only a few Filipinos here in Croatia). To keep to its truth, dito tayo nagpunta (To keep to its truth, we went here). It’s something new to the Filipinos also. We need it for the story,” Cathy said.
The director was very vague about the details of the new series, but described Liza and Enrique’s characters as “very fun” in contrast to their previous roles in “Alone/Together.”
“We want to give you something that you will enjoy every night, but at the end of the day, we want to tell you something of good moral obligation,” she added.
The LizQuen tandem and Cathy last collaborated in 2017 for the Star Cinema film “My Ex and Whys.” Prior to that, they worked together in “Forevermore” and “Dolce Amore.”
