The US Women’s National Football Team, who made headlines after winning the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, is getting their own Funko Pops. And yes, it includes co-captain and one of most famous female athletes to date: Megan Rapinoe.
Funko made the announcement on their social media accounts, revealing that the figurines will be available at Toy Fair New York 2020 which is happening from Feb. 22 to 25 at the Jacob K. Javits Center. Aside from two Rapinoe Pops (one has pink hair and the other one is blonde), the USWNT collection also includes Alex Morgan, Julie Ertz and Carli Lloyd.
Rapinoe trended last year when she declared that her team isn’t going to the White House if they get invited after winning the World Cup. Not only did they break tradition, they also angered Pres. Donald Trump.

The football player was also the subject of misogynistic comments from men who couldn’t handle her confidence and unapologetic nature.
The worst kind of winner. Arrogance, it’s all about her not the team. Asking for respect all summer but gives none. Destroying the good work done for woman’s football. Don’t worry, no one will remember her next month.

I agree…. very arrogant person… who ot appears likes to use her sexuality choice as a reason for being how she is. I don't care a lot what she is, she's not my cup of tea, full stop…

But Rapinoe and the rest of the USWNT ignored all the negative comments and became champions of equality. As of writing, they filed a gender discrimination lawsuit against the US Soccer Federation for paying the women’s team lower than the men’s team. The former is asking for over $66 million in damages.
If you think the women’s football team is badass and you want to get your hands on their Funko Pops, you can ask someone to buy for you in New York. Or you can wait for someone to gift it to you in the future.
