On lockdown? This Pride Month online concert lets you celebrate at home

The Smithsonian Pride Alliance is hosting “Project Pride,” a virtual concert and digital time-capsule celebration of LGBTQ+ heritage, culture and history, on May 31. Aside from featuring various LGBTQ+ musicians, there will also be a showcase of Smithsonian collections. It will be broadcasted through YouTube from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Not familiar with the Smithsonian Institution? It’s the world’s largest museum, education and research complex. They have 19 museums and the National Zoo located all across Washington, D.C. and New York City.

Funded by the Secretary of the Smithsonian and the Smithsonian National Board, the broadcast will be free and open to the public. You can check for updates by RSVPing on EventBrite.
