This ‘Where’s Waldo?’-esque collab is serving big chaotic good energy

What if someone found a way to collaborate with every artist possible to create one massive interactive picture that can distinctly include everybody’s art styles? Well, “#taguanartph” is just that collab and, yes, you can join in.

I wanna do a massive collab with all ph artists, using the concept of “Where’s Waldo?” wouldn’t it be cool to find yourselves crammed in a single page with the art ph community? ?

Local artist Restart started the project “#taguanartph” which basically features different artists each represented by their characters in a massive “Where’s Waldo?” inspired piece. This way, art fans can also join in on the fun by looking for the artists they know while discovering new artists and art styles at the same time. This project not only celebrates the Filipino art community, but it also lets local artists interact with one another and get to know each of their unique art styles.

According to the mastermind behind “#taguanartph,” he wanted this to encourage new art accounts to interact with other Filipino artists.

“Well for starters, I feel like there’s a little grey area in our community [wherein] we don’t get to interact more with our fellow Filipino artists. I wanted this to be a way of interaction [especially] for small art accounts that’s a little shy and new to the platform. Think of it as a game where they can interact with each other by finding themselves in this [art-filled] canvas of ours.” he told us in a DM exchange.

“Other than that, it’s a really fun and chaotic project. I mean if you can collaborate with one to five people, why not collaborate with all of them instead?” he added.

Here’s how it works: Sketch a full-body illustration of your art persona (no NSFW entries please) and submit a transparent file to this Google Drive before Sept. 1. After this, Restart will edit your characters into one illustration and will send it right back to you so you can individually post the final output. Check out the full list of rules and instructions in Restart’s Twitter thread.

So, what are you waiting for? Submit your art persona so you can join the fun.
