The trailer for the Karl Lagerfeld-directed new short film, which dropped online today, showing a makeup and wardrobe transformation for Kristen Stewart. Yeah, sure, Kristen Stewart doesn’t have a lot of expressions on her face, but she still scored one big role to play: Coco Chanel in Once and Forever. In the 40-second trailer, a bold brow complete with piled up hair and, of course, the pearls show that the Twilight star could really look like the legendary fashion designer.
It doesn’t matter that Kristen doesn’t look exactly like the founder of the fashion house. The short film, apparently, will be about what goes behind the scenes in making a biopic about Chanel. It was revealed in the trailer that Kristen’s role is actually a budding actress who plays Coco in her younger days. Still interesting, though!
Kristen previously fronted campaigns for the storied fashion house. And Karl, always one to play favorites, made the obvious choice of casting her in the short he is directing. This creative duo just never stops!
