Pia Wurtzbach, like the rest of the folks here on earth, dove right into work this week with her official reign as Miss Universe having started last Jan. 4. Though she was booked for a flurry of TV appearances on US talk shows, it’s been announced that she will be coming home for the first time since being crowned last month.
She first hinted at a homecoming towards the end of her interview on Good Day New York with Rosanna Sotto and Greg Kelly:

Her arrival in Manila will be on the evening of Jan. 23, as confirmed by Inquirer.net, and will have an official press conference the next day.
Then on the 25th, watch out for her grand parade, which will start in the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, snake its way to Manila, then make a stop at Makati before heading back to Quezon City.
On Jan. 27, she is scheduled for a charity event, followed by the all-important courtesy call at Malacañang, the Senate, and the House of Representatives the following day.
(One can only hope that neither Kris Aquino nor Korina Sanchez will be around to make it awkward between her and PNoy.)
Finally, on the 28th, a homecoming special and grand party will be thrown in her honor at the Smart Araneta Coliseum before she heads back to New York to assume her official duties as the most beautiful woman in the universe.
