There are a few things that make me happy these days. One of them is finding my eyeliner hasn’t given me raccoon eyes after my trip out of the office for lunch and that my liquid base hasn’t faded into my shirt collar. It may sound silly but it’s important given the scorching heat.
While trapping yourself in air-conditioned spaces may be ideal, the short five minutes you’re out in the sun could spell trouble. You then have to gather some of your best makeup items that will stay put. And as always, our #TeamPreenPH girls gave us an idea as to what they are.

As I mentioned earlier, the bad thing about eyeliner is how it can run and make you look like you haven’t had any sleep. In this heat, turn to a waterproof gel formulation on bare lids (no foundation or base) that will really stick to the skin. That way you don’t need to worry if the wing at the end of your line fades.

f you insist on a smokey eye look, make sure your shadows will not meld into each other by midday to create another look—that you don’t like. For this, reach for an eye primer that will not only hydrate your eyelids but also serve as a good canvas for your chosen colors to hold on to.

For those of you who simply can’t go without mascara, always go for a waterproof formulation. The slightest amount of heat and your mascara will just leave your eyelashes instantly. If you are going for multiple coats for that dramatic effect, let each coat dry first before applying the next one so you don’t end up with a smudgy mess.

The sun might leave your lips a little more dehydrated than usual. Aside from reaching for a hydrating balm, choose a nude lippie that won’t emphasize fine lines with a creamy finish that will make it look plump even if you’re in need of a drink.
