Prints genius Jonathan Saunders is definitely fitting to be the new chief creative officer at Diane Von Furstenberg—his aesthetic does work well with DVF considering the work that he has done with his own brand that he closed down just last year. It came as no surprise to have this new creative force behind the DVF brand, but what was striking was that it all happened so fast! Jonathan said that Diane only talked to him about this position a few weeks back and now we hear that he will now move from London to New York as soon as possible as his creative position is effective immediately. He will now be in charge of the overall creative direction and will be working closely with the brand’s chief executive officer Paolo Riva.
“Jonathan’s extraordinary passion for colors and prints, his effortless designs and his desire to make women feel beautiful make him the perfect creative force to lead DVF into the future,” shares Diane. “I could not have found a cooler, more intelligent designer and I cannot wait to watch him shine as our chief creative officer.” He seems to be excited as well, as he posted a few shots of New York and even a photo of Diane with the caption, “To new beginnings @dvf.”

We’re definitely excited to see how Jonathan will push the brand forward and continue to make it relevant for women. For one, there will be a definite upgrade on the e-commerce side, as mentioned by the new creative officer. And we hope to see other designs besides the famous wrap-dresses? Just saying.
