There are rumors that former Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz may be moving to Uniqlo.
Sources tell WWD that Alber is in talks with Fast Retailing LTD., Uniqlo’s parent brand. However, Fast Retailing’s spokesperson declined to comment on the rumors.
If Alber does move to Uniqlo, it’ll be a huge change to switch from creating hand-draped cocktail dresses to casual basics. Or maybe he can bring that eveningwear flare to Uniqlo’s aesthetic? That’s an interesting combination, if you ask me.
