It has been an interesting day so far. A few hours ago, Mocha Uson was reportedly appointed as the Bureau of Customs’ social media consultant. Minutes later, BOC denied the report. Now, people are tweeting their “choices” for government offices with the hashtag #DutertePleaseAppointMe.
The hashtag, which is currently the second highest trending topic in the Philippines, began to poke fun at Mocha’s “appointment” and questioned her qualifications for the job. These tweets ranged from appointing local celebrities and even foreign stars in President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.

You have to admit that some of these tweets are witty. But it also makes you look back on the times when Mocha questioned the credibility of journalists who are reporting about President Duterte, even engaging in heated debates. Now, she’s the subject of a joke similar to that. Isn’t it ironic?
