What I love about rainy days is that it gives me an excuse to don a jacket when going out. And as seen on some local celebrities, they’ve been wearing the bomber jacket lately.
Just like the trusty denim jacket, the bomber can be worn anywhere and can also be customized with patches and embroidery. Perhaps we have Gucci and their DIY jackets to thank for their recent popularity.
If you want to get on the trend, see what bomber jackets local celebs are wearing and where to cop something similar.
Sarah Lahbati
Sarah sported a short green bomber jacket on top of her sleeveless shirt―giving off a daring vibe while still looking feminine with her soft hair and makeup. Go steal this look by getting the Zipped Bomber Jacket in Khaki from Mango (P2,295) and pair it with some shorts and sneakers. (Patches are optional.)

For her performance last weekend, Jess opted for the basics: Chuck Taylors, black culottes, and a black top. To give her look an interesting touch of color, she wore a jersey bomber jacket with red and black accents. For a similar feel, try on River Island’s Black Satin Colour Block Bomber Jacket (P2,878).

Laureen Uy
Laureen went for a fun design for her jacket: Pokémon embroidery designed by Eugene David, which is fitting these days. But if you want something with a more simple embroidery which can still stand out, Juicy Judy’s Play Patch Bomber Jacket (P5,349) with a floral patch might be for you.

To go with her hiking attire in San Francisco, Janina brought up a jersey bomber with several embroideries on the back and the sleeves. An edgy complement to the basic shirt-and-jeans combo. Cop this by getting the Limited Edition Bomber Jacket from Zara (P6,995) which has intricate embroidery. Plus, it’s reversible so you can wear it plain as well if you feel like it.

Gabs Gibbs
Gabs recently modeled Neon Island‘s latest line of bomber jackets, including a baby pink one you can wear over your shirt or even a dress. If you want a jacket of the same motif, grab Missguided’s Satin Bomber Jacket (P2,649).
