“Are you tired of messy sunscreen? Sick of that awful lotion odor? Do you want to smell like fried chicken, but you’re just not hungry?”—Wait, what?
Just a few hours ago, KFC released their very own (and very limited edition) Extra Crispy Sunscreen with SPF 30—it works just like any other sunscreen by blocking UV rays, but it will leave you smelling like their fried chicken.
It may smell really good, but it’s not edible and as they say “Smells like chicken, tastes like sunscreen” so don’t even attempt to lick your arm.
Unfortunately though after just 10 hours, the product has supposedly been finished up by fried-chicken and sunscreen lovers so there’s none left for everyone else. But as a consolation, they will leave the marketing material up on their website for your viewing pleasure.
This is not the first time KFC dabbed into the beauty industry. Just a few months back they released a nail polish that tastes like fried chicken, further emphasizing their “finger licking good” slogan. Now we wonder what they’ll have up their sleeves next, maybe lip balm? Let’s wait and see.
