This season, the National Commission of Culture and the Arts (NCCA) championed six young talents to showcase reimagined Filipino clothing. From the baro’t saya to the terno, and from the barong to the Spanish-influenced garb, nothing was spared by designers AJ Bernable, Jinggay Serag, Daryl Maat, Eva Rosales Badulis, Harvic Dominguez, and Rosalie Mendiola. Who says the traditional has to be archaic?
