Kanye West Talks About Why He Met with Donald Trump

If there is one thing 2016 taught us, it’s that no headline is too werid to be real. This morning, every other news headline in every field went into a frenzy as Kanye West entered the Trump Tower to meet with the US President-elect Donald Trump. In usual Kanye fashion, he tweeted about the agenda.

There’s a lot to think about this meeting as Kanye tweeted only this and Trump hasn’t tweeted about the matter as of press time. Trump’s various divisive speeches have increased racially-charged attacks and protests. Kanye, on the other hand, once went on a rambling speech during one of his concerts in support of Trump.  He was then later hospitalized for psychiatric reasons and soon after donned blonde hair.

When cameras caught the two after the meeting, the chatty Kanye didn’t have a comment about meeting with Trump. “I just want to take a picture now,” he said. Trump only blurted out “Life. We discussed about life,” when asked by reporters what they talked about. I don’t know about you but it doesn’t seem comforting at this point.

It does help that Trump seems to have consideration for a few other people other than the white, privileged men he has been appointing to his Cabinet. Perhaps Kanye West, of all people, could knock some sense into Trump. Named Person of the Year by Time, Trump’s cover line for the issue read “President of the Divided States of America.”
