Rocking a red lip is automatic during the holidays. It’s a festive color, and you can get away with having minimal makeup when you wear it. Just ask Arci Muñoz.
Celebrity makeup artist Anthea Bueno recently gave Arci a fairly tame look with a bright lip. We thought it’d be fitting for us who want to switch from work to party with minimal effort.
Base
For a light touch-up that’s dewy and not too matte, opt for the TooFaced Born This Way Foundation.
TooFaced. Available at Sephora PH.
You can also use the Laura Mercier Candleglow Concealer and Highlighter to cover up dark circles under your eyes. This will brighten your eyes and make you look more awake.
Laura Mercier. Available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.
Cheeks
Arci’s cheeks have a sheer pink tint on them. Achieve a similar effect with TheBalm CabanaBoy Dusty Rose blush.
TheBalm. Available at Beauty Bar.
Highlight
Your outfit shouldn’t be the only one that’s sparkling at your Christmas party. Add a champagne-colored glow to your cheekbones and also set your makeup with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed powder in Moonstone.
Becca. Available at Sephora PH.
Eyes
When you’re pressed for time, a quick swipe of mascara is all the eye makeup you need. For dramatic eyes, go for Etude House’s Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara.
Etude House. Available at Greenbelt 3 and Glorietta 1.
Lips
Finally, the bright red lipstick. We suggest you go for a matte one like the MAC Red Rock lipstick so it’ll stay on all night, even after three (or more!) glasses of champagne.
MAC. Available at SM Makati and SM Megamall.
