Michelle Williams just proved that love doesn’t just come in the form of a man, and that you can take your supportive best friend as your date.
During the screening of her film Manchester by the Sea, Michelle thanked Busy Philipps for always being by her side. “I’m here with my best friend,” Michelle announced. “I’m so in love with her. She’s proof that the love of your life does not have to be a man! That’s the love of my life right there.”
Michelle and Busy have been friends since they co-starred on Dawson’s Creek. Busy recently posted a photo during those days and compared their fashion sense from early 2000s and now. So for those wondering if they’re an item, they’re not—just really good friends.
This isn’t the first time the duo went to a red carpet event together. Michelle also took Busy as her date at this year’s Critic’s Choice Awards where she’s nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Manchester by the Sea.
If anyone deserves the title #friendshipgoals, it’s these two. So cute!
