Ewan McGregor Cancels Interview After Piers Morgan’s Anti-Women’s March Remarks

British host Piers Morgan is in hot water after his condescending Women’s March remark. This also prompted Ewan McGregor to pull out of his TV interview.

Ewan was scheduled to go on Good Morning Britain to talk about his new film Trainspotting 2. However, he backed out last minute when realized that Piers was one of the hosts.

Last Saturday, Piers wasn’t subtle with his disapproval of the Women’s March. He called it “a mass hissy fit over a failed female presidential candidate” and also proposed a Men’s March against “rabid feminists.” He even wrote a column to expound on his disapproval.

Piers also didn’t appreciate Ewan’s sudden cancellation and replied this to the actor:

He also apologized on Good Morning Britain about his political views. But he also said that “actors should stick to talking about films and not get worked up about politics.” Meanwhile, his co-host Susanna Reid, who also disagreed with Piers’ views, was disappointed as she wanted to see a healthy debate on the show.

Of course, Piers’ tirade didn’t end there. He continued tweeting about how pissed he was of Ewan, even called him a “pedo-loving hypocrite,” and engaged in arguments with netizens.

Good on Ewan for standing his ground. As for Piers, he should check how fragile his masculinity is.
