We might have waited 76 years for the first origin story of Wonder Woman on film but we don’t have to wait that long for the sequel. According to Variety, director Patty Jenkins is already working on the script for the next Wonder Woman film.
Geoff Johns, who oversees production of the DC film universe for Warner Bros., said in an interview, “Patty and I are writing the treatment right now. The goal is to make another great Wonder Woman film.”
Warner Bros. Pictures president and CCO Toby Emmerich added that the film will not take place in World War I but will still be set in the past. “It will take place somewhere between 1917 and 2017,” he said. Patty also mentioned that she would like the sequel to take place in the United States instead of Europe. Quite vague if you ask me but now fans can start thinking of possible plots before other details are revealed.
