If there’s one thing Filipinos love, it’s beauty pageants, especially Miss Universe. So it comes as no surprise that Miss Universe 2017 has reached the trending spot on Twitter. This follows the opening of voting for the candidates.
Last night, the pageant announced that netizens could start voting for their candidate of choice. They also posted the rules to make sure that every tweet counts.

Looks like there’s an apparent attempt to sabotage the hashtag of the Philippines by turning the “L” into a big “I”.
Spell it out whole when you tweet it instead of clicking the trending hashtag. #Philippines #MissUniverse
