Dad sneakers are still trending but one pair has taken the Internet by storm. Louis Vuitton’s Archlight sneakers have been seen on many female celebrities. It is described as a “futuristic sneaker [that] balances a spring wave-shaped outsole and an oversized tongue.”
Anne Curtis was able to get her hands on a pair with a silver and black colorway.
Kim Jones has the same pair too, which she wore with a long-sleeved top and black skirt.
Nicole Andersson wore her blue and white pair around Paris.
Nadine Lustre showed off her monogram print sneakers with a rap squat.
The Archlights have a price tag of $1,090, which might be way out of most of our budgets. But don’t worry too much because we found some more affordable alternatives. They don’t look exactly the same but they have similar elements that you might be into.
Steve Madden Blend Sneakers
This pair from Steve Madden has a similar pastel blue and pink colorway as one of the pairs from Louis Vuitton. It also has a pull tab at the back and a geometrical pattern throughout the shoe. It’s made of a leather and suede upper and has a platform sole. Available at Shangri-La Plaza.
Call It Spring Galigoni Sneakers
If you like the oversized tongue of the Archlights, consider this pair from Call It Spring. Cop this one in a bright red shade to make it the focal point of any look. Just like Anne’s outfit above, we can see this paired with black shorts, graphic T-shirt, and denim jacket. Available at Greenbelt 3.
Puma Muse Echo Women’s Sneakers
Another detail of the Archlight that stands out is the sole. It has an exaggerated curve, almost like it has a cut-out. Puma’s Muse Echo Sneakers have a similar feature. It has a notch in the sole, making it look edgy. Available online.
Zara Contrasting Flatform Sneakers
If you like the platform on LV’s sneaker, these contrasting ones from Zara is a great alternative. It has a mix of orange, brown, and black colors. It has a sole height of 2.1 inches which will look great with a skirt, just like on Kim Jones. Available at SM Megamall.
Nike Air Huarache City Low Shoes
Looking for something on the sporty side? Check out these low shoes from Nike. The silhouette resembles that of the Archlight but not as dramatic. These are more casual so you can pair them with jeans or even a tracksuit. Available on Zalora PH.
