Whether we like to admit it or not, many of us are last-minute planners. Even with special occasions like Mother’s Day. Although you still have time to grab a gift or two (check Preen Gift Guide series), you can also plan activities that you and your mom can do tomorrow. The best gifts can be experiential too, you know, so refer to our list if you need more ideas.
Splurge on a shopping spree
Your momma might need fashion or beauty items, and maybe even that book she’s been eyeing for a while now. This is the perfect time for you to arrange a shopping spree at a nearby mall. The restaurants at City of Dreams Manila have special Mother’s Day lunch and dinner menus until May 14. For something more intimate, you can avail TWG Tea’s afternoon tea set menu.
Relax at a spa
Go get a massage with your mom because you deserve it after a week, or a month, of working in the office and at home. You can opt for one of The Spa‘s services, or avail I’M Onsen Spa’s “Superwoman Retreat” package for P2,488. You’ll come out feeling refreshed and rejuvenated right after.
Get your hair or nails done
Here’s another way you can relax and bond with your mom. Change up your hair color or get a much-needed mani-pedi. You’ll definitely start your week feeling and looking great.
Work out together
Beyond Yoga has a 75-minute power yoga class on Mother’s Day. Go book it if you’ve always wanted to try working out with your mom. The best part is that the class will be in the morning so you can do some of the activities we mentioned above afterwards.
