Following the federalism video which drew flak from netizens, Senator Koko Pimentel urged Mocha Uson to “stay away from the federalism campaign and take a leave”
“Ako ay nagkamali! Akala ko makakatulong si Mocha sa pagpapaliwanag tungkol sa pederalismo,” Pimentel reportedly said. (I was wrong. I thought Mocha could help explain federalism)
“Di ko lubos akalain na bababuyin pala nila ang kawsa ng pederalismo.” (I never thought they would sully the cause of federalism), stating further that the Communications Assistant Secretary should study first.
The senator said he was not mad, but rather, disappointed that “the best and the brightest appointed to this government can come up with only that kind of bullsh*t,” pointing out that regardless of the controversial song and dance, the substance was still wrong.
Pimentel was only one of many politicians who expressed dismay over the video. Mocha has since responded to the issue.
