The annual Global Citizen Festival took place in New York City last night (The reason why Chris Martin was absent in his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding).  Aside from featuring musical performances,  celebrities were also in attendance, including Chris’ current girlfriend, Dakota Johnson. Fighting sexual assault and showing support for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, was one of the heavy discussions during the night.

To show her support for sexual assault survivors, Dakota shared her phone number to encourage victims to open up about their experiences.”I want to help you—women and girls around the world—tell your story,” she said. Taking her phone out of her pocket, she continued, “This is my phone number. I want you to call me and tell me your story in a voicemail. Or I want you to send me a message at [email protected] and tell me what you’ve gone through as a women or girl in the world that’s been suffering.”

She added, “If we don’t speak the same language, that’s okay. We have a team for that. We’ll translate it. And if you’re going to threaten to hurt me, we have a team for that too.” She said she plans to “compile these stories and get them heard so I can amplify your voice.”

If you want to open up about your own story, here is the number she provided: 212-653-8806. You can also reach her through the email address mentioned above.
