Last we reported about Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, we told you guys that they were spotted at the marriage bureau, but didn’t get married just yet. Well it looks like we’ve all been duped, because new reports say that they, in fact, did! It turns out, it wasn’t just a quick field trip to get a marriage license, but the real thing. According to TMZ, “They had a preacher on hand—Jeffrey Quinn, a member of the faculty at Nyack College near the courthouse. The witness was Josh Mehl, a friend of Justin’s who attends Churchome in Los Angeles.”
AND, as proof of how crazy spontaneous it was, the two apparently didn’t sign a prenup. TMZ further reported that “Justin and Hailey both reached out to lawyers for a prenup, We’re told they reached out the very same day they got hitched, but there was no way to get a prenup drafted and signed that quickly.” So what’s gonna happen is, the two will now reportedly get a postnup—which is basically the same as a prenup, but it’s signed after the marriage—though Justin claims they don’t need one.
But hold on, it looks like our own ~imaginary~ wedding plans for the two aren’t in vain, as they still plan to have a formal ceremony—though it would only be a ceremony in name because they are already husband and wife.
Woah. Go process that, while we, too, lay here and wait for that to sink in.
