Is Dolce & Gabbana actually booting out Stefano?

Dolce & Gabbana has been making headlines but not in a good way. Their series called “Eating with Chopsticks” recently went under fire as the public deemed it racist. Following this controversy, @diet_prada leaked a series of of offensive messages from Stefano Gabbana, which the designer then denied, saying his account was hacked. But people weren’t buying it. One Instagram user commented on the apology: “Do you think Chinese people are three-year-olds?” She added, “We don’t need your apology. Please take your clothes and your brand and leave China.”

On IG stories, others have also shown protest by throwing or destroying D&G items. Stefano’s wikipedia description was even changed anonymously to say that he is “known as one of the most radical racists against Chinese population.”

Moreover, according to Diet Prada, multiple sources say that around 200 employees who worked on the supposed show got held up at the venue, and their passports seized for government investigation. Furthermore, “Stefano may finally be getting the boot, with the brand ‘relaunching’ with Domenico only.”

This move makes sense considering this is not the first time Stefano incited public criticism for an offensive statement. He has previously clashed with stars, who we’re sure would agree that the brand is better off with him out of the picture. However, merely booting Stefano out might not be the best course, because even Domenico has had a shady track record.

What do you think will happen to the decades-old luxury fashion house? Let us know if you too, will #boycottdolcegabbana.
