Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are gearing up for their wedding as we speak. The couple and some of their guests are in India right now to prep for the multi-day celebration.
Earlier today, Priyanka and Nick kicked things off with a puja, a Hindu praying ritual, at the home of Priyanka’s mother in Mumbai. The two wore traditional Indian garments for the occasion. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were also spotted.
A source told Harper’s Bazaar that the wedding festivities will reportedly start on Nov. 30. But, as per Indian wedding tradition, a three-day wedding often starts with an intimate puja, which they just did today. Meaning, we the main ceremony and reception at the Taj Uwaid Bhawan in Jodhpur might happen on Dec. 1.
For the wedding dress, Priyanka has been keeping mum about her plans but we might not see her wear white. Indian tradition associates the color with funerals, after all. Unless, of course, she and Nick decided on a more westernized celebration—though they could also have another wedding in the US.
