Naomi Campbell started modeling when she was just 15 years old and established her career in the ‘80s. Despite all that, she got her first-ever beauty campaign just this year. On Instagram, Nars announced that she is the newest face of the brand.
According to Fashionista, in 2017 she spoke up about this: “I’ve never done [a beauty campaign] for anyone. People say, ‘Oh you’ve got beautiful skin’ and yet I’ve never done one.” This isn’t just an important milestone in her career but for women of color as well.
The closeup photo is seriously so gorgeous. In the caption, François Nars said, “Naomi is a living icon and being such strong personality to the camera.”
Congratulations on finally making it through to the beauty industry, Naomi!
