You can finally stream ‘Goyo’ on Netflix this January

If you’re done watching and re-watching Heneral Luna on Netflix, here’s some good news for you. Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral will be premiering in the platform next month. 2019 is already off to a great start.

Directed by Jerrold Tarog, the movie takes place after the assassination of Gen. Antonio Luna. It chronicles how Gen. Gregorio “Goyo” Del Pilar (played by Paulo Avelino), who is one of the youngest generals in the Philippine-American War, prepared and fought in the historic Battle of Tirad Pass.

The movie doesn’t just make you swoon over Paulo Avelino’s portrayal of the historical figure. It also poses questions on why we revere heroes. If you want our two cents on the film before watching it, you can check it out here. Just beware of the tiny spoilers.

You can stream Goyo starting Jan. 26, 2019. Be sure you’ve seen Heneral Luna before you watch this so you can get the complete experience.

Now, tell us: How many times are you going to re-watch Goyo?
