Kelly has been preying on younger women and has been accused of sexual assault for years. After all this time, people are finally starting to speak up, including Lady Gaga. In case you forgot, she collaborated with him in 2013 on a song titled “Do What U Want (With My Body).”
On Twitter, Gaga posted a message apologizing for working with him. She explained that during that time, she was going through a traumatic experience as well. “As a victim of sexual assault myself, I made both the song and video at a dark time in my life, my intention was to create something extremely defiant and proactive because I was angry and still hadn’t processed the trauma that had occurred in my own life.” She stressed that she can’t change the past but she “can go forward and continue to support women, men, and people of all sexual identities, and of all races, who are victims of sexual assault.” Gaga ended the message by saying she would remove “Do What U Want (With My Body)” from all streaming platforms “and will not be working with him again.”

Thank you for speaking up, Gaga. Hopefully this encourages other people to do the same.
