Meghan Markle has been one to watch in terms of her fashion choices—from her looks on her first royal tour to her different tuxedos. Lately, people have been noticing her maternity outfits. One thing she has proven is that body-hugging dresses is a great way to show off your growing bump. This is also good way to wear the clothes that you already have in your closet if you don’t want to buy new maternity clothes. She’s done it at different events with varying dress codes and we found similar dresses that moms to be can add to their wardrobe too.
H&M MAMA Fine-knit Dress
One of Meghan’s more recent looks was in theme with the monochromatic trend. She wore a head-to-toe beige outfit when she visited The Mayhew, a charity that promotes animal welfare. The exact dress she wore is this one from H&M. It has a stand collar and gathered seams that will make the dress hug your bump better. It is also made of a knit material that feels soft against the skin. Available at Greenbelt 3.
Old Navy Maternity Sweater-knit Bodycon Midi Dress
Try color blocking red and purple just like Meghan. For the dress, pick up this wine-colored one from Old Navy. It has the same midi length and bodycon fit as Meghan’s. A red coat might be too hot for the Philippines so try layering with a thin cardigan instead. We can see mothers to be wearing this to lunch with the in-laws. Available at Eastwood Mall.

Mova Light Maternity Formal Gown
Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem. Here, Meghan proved that pregnant women can rock it out in a gown. If you’re attending a formal event, try wearing a long gown that accentuates your baby bump. This navy blue gown has long lace sleeves and a mermaid silhouette. If you’re not comfortable wearing heels, go for pumps or flats instead. Available online.
Great Expectations One Shoulder Maternity Dress
At the British Fashion Awards last year, Meghan made a surprise appearance in a black Givenchy gown. It had a one-shoulder detail, hugged her bump and then draped beautifully on the bottom. Wear a similar version to your next meeting at work. This piece is also one shoulder but has a midi length perfect for the office. Wear it as is or layer it with a blazer. Available on Zalora PH.
Queen Bee Myra Ruffled Sleeved Dress
With maternity dressing, don’t be afraid to wear some prints as well. This dress has a white base and a leaf print all over in gray and black. It has a boat neckline, similar to the one on Meghan’s wedding dress, and ruffled cuff sleeves. Add a pop of color with your shoes and accessories. Available online.
Bonus: Topshop Fine Knitted Midi Dress
Like I said in the beginning, you can also use the clothes you already have that aren’t necessarily maternity. This one from Topshop is made of a knitted material, which can easily stretch over your belly. It also had double shoulder straps for extra support. Available at Power Plant Mall.
Bonus: Zara Knit High Neck Dress
Another option is this sleeveless dress that has a high neckline and an A-line silhouette. It also has two side slits, making it easier to move around. Available at SM Megamall.
