Another Super Bowl has passed, and this one is 15 years after Janet Jackson’s last performance there. Why? Because of a wardrobe malfunction that ended with her right breast exposed at the end of her song with Justin Timberlake. Justin has been invited back since then but Janet has not.
Maroon 5’s performance this year brought this issue back up because Adam Levine was completely shirtless. One nipslip and a woman gets blacklisted, but men are free to show off half their body.
Yeah, the Internet was not having it.
Many came to Janet’s support with hashtags #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay and #JusticeforJanet being used in tweets.
On the other hand, many were swooning over Adam’s shirtless bod and we are not here for it. Who else thinks Janet should be given another chance to perform at this grand event?
We’re definitely on Team Janet when it comes to this and we want to see her again.
