Bea Alonzo declares 2019 to be her year of change

Don’t be surprised if actress Bea Alonzo starts doing things she doesn’t usually do—after all, she declared 2019 to be her year of change.

First up? Posting a photo of herself in a swimsuit. Something she’s never done before because she admits that she has insecurities. She delves deeper and says, “I want to forget about how I hated myself for being ‘fat’ in other people’s eyes and just remember the things that I love about my body.”

Society’s expectations, especially when you’re in the entertainment business, can get extremely tough. You get picked on for no reason and they always find something that they feel is not right. But Bea is choosing to let all that go.

“It’s the only body I am blessed with and I am thankful for my health because I can do things that make me happy,” she continues.

It goes beyond loving her body, given the platform she has, she also wants to inspire more and more women. “I hope this post could inspire other women to love themselves more—flaws and all. Let’s all work hard to better ourselves for us and not just so others could accept us.”

Thanks, Bea, for being an inspiration. A great way to start this week, indeed.
