In light of Banjo Dangalan’s force-eviction in Pinoy Big Brother, fans have started sharing a 2015 clip when Tommy Esguerra joined the reality show. Annnnd it’s bad.
The video shows a heated discussion between Tommy and housemate Dawn Chang. It starts with Tommy saying, “You can tell me right now, ‘I don’t like you, Tommy.’ But if you’re putting a leg out. My brain’s not gonna work. I’m a guy!”
Dawn then reprimanded him, saying that it’s not her problem that guys like Tommy would think she’s being promiscuous. “I can wear whatever I want to wear,” she said. However, Tommy insisted she’s abusing how men (pertaining mostly to their housemate, Zeus Collins) think. “I beg to disagree! If you think I’m sexy, thank you very much. If you feel tempted because of what I wear, that’s your problem and not mine.”

Take note that this happened four years ago and we can only hope Tommy set himself straight after joining PBB. This type of behavior is one of the reasons why women and their clothing are often blamed when they are harassed or raped.
If Tommy had said this today, he would’ve been evicted like Banjo. But no, he was part of the Big 4 during his season, which is disappointing.
Again, we hope PBB learned its lesson from the mistakes of their past seasons.
