Halsey is known for giving a middle finger to society’s effed up beauty standards. She did it again by appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone with her arms behind her head, her unshaven armpits left unedited.
Twitterverse is clearly living for it. Even other celebrities took to social media to applaud this move by the singer. Demi Lovato commented, “There is so much yes about this picture idk where to start.” Fellow singer Benny Blanco wrote “Rockstar status,” while Maggie Rogers claimed, “Here for this armpit hair.” Check out the other reactions below:
I loooove the fact that they didn't edit the armpits like most magazines would do. Women are not little babies who don't have body hair. Stunning cover 👌 https://t.co/POHNCnIK9W

is it wrong that my fav part of this is that her armpits look normal and aren’t photoshopped. My armpits aren’t something I should be insecure about but like I am. God bless Halsey. https://t.co/dpyDqK8JCu

While there are still those who criticize the shoot, we are happy to see people seem much more accepting of body hair now, and celebrities are keen to normalize it. Way to go, Halsey!
