Model of the moment is a model no more.
Metro reports that Cara Delevingne has indeed quit modeling for acting. She’s ditched modeling agency Storm, the agency that signed her at age 15 and propelled her to superstardom.
A source from The Sun confirmed that she dumped them a month ago. “The reality is Cara doesn’t see her future in modeling now with the acting taking off she didn’t need the pressure of the agency.”
The source is referring to a series of acting gigs—from Paper Towns to the upcoming Suicide Squad—which Cara has been involved with. He or she then stated that founder Sarah Doukas, while “gutted to lose her huge cash cow,” knows that “Cara wants to do what makes her happy and fulfills her. She knows that’s not modeling in the long term.”
It’s about time she moves on, too.
We can’t blame her for changing careers when she’s planned it. In the short span of time she graced those covers and runways, Cara faced the many cons behind the glamour of it all. However, it’s interesting to know how she’s going to take the equally judgmental atmosphere of Hollywood because really, the haterade is just as much.
Nonetheless, all the best for Cara!
