Lena Dunham is in an awkward situation right now. During the London premiere of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, she was photographed allegedly trying to force a kiss onto Brad Pitt.
After the cast posed for a group photo with director Quentin Tarantino, Lena was seen trying to go over Brad to give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. As Elite Daily described the situation: “Dunham bends over to look at Pitt in a silly way. Kind of like how I look at a waiter at a restaurant when I know my food is coming. Pitt seems to be chatting directly with Tarantino. Then she walks toward him and gets close enough to put her arms around him. He still seems to be walking right past her.”
The last photo showed Lena planting a kiss on Brad’s cheek, and also accidentally touched his lips. But based on the shot, Brad still seemed to be ignoring her.
Again, awwwwkwaaaaard. Netizens also didn’t like Lena’s behavior, with many noting that if Brad did this to Margot Robbie, there would be more outrage.
This wasn’t the first controversy surrounding Lena and Brad. Last October, she was photographed flashing her underwear to the actor. (That paparazzi shot was so not okay. Ugh.) When Jimmy Kimmel asked her if it was part of the movie, she said it wasn’t and that they were on break at the time. “We were talking about kewpie dolls.It’s like an illustrated character of the 1920s. Someone asked, ‘What’s a kewpie doll?’ And I said, ‘Well, I can show you. I’ve got one right here on my side’…If you’ve got it illustrated on your body, who are you not to show this?” she explained.
Still, Lena trying to kiss Brad at the premiere is all sorts of wrong, especially if the latter didn’t consent to it. As of writing, neither stars have released statements addressing the photos.
