Cop right now: Low-key local beauty items for P500 or less

For us here at the Preen.ph HQ, we usually find new brands to check out via Instagram ads. Call them annoying all you want but they can be helpful when you’re on the hunt for new items, especially from local makeup and skincare brands.

The beauty side of Filipino Twitter has also been sharing a lot of homegrown brands that more people need to know about. Most of them focus on recommending affordable dupes for cult-favorite brands.

True enough, when we looked into it, there are products that are priced P500 and below. Not bad! So if you want to support homegrown brands with makeup and skincare items that won’t break the bank, check out the list below.

Cloud Cosmetics Powder Blush

Price: P249

Cloud Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand that fuses skincare formulas with makeup. One of their products is the Powder Blush, which is made from kaolin clay that helps absorb oil on the skin. It also has antioxidants, a lightweight feel, and adds an airbrush effect to your overall look. You can choose from three shades: matte rose, satin coral, and shimmer pink. Available online.

M&Co. Cosmetics Lip Addiction

If you’re following Rhian Ramos on Instagram, then you might’ve seen her post or tag M&Co. Cosmetics on her feed. The brand mostly has lip products like Lip Addiction, which is a bullet matte lipstick. The shades are mostly reds and pinks, which would surely add a pop of color to any look. SkinPotions Dream Cream

SkinPotions is known for their pigmented and hydrating lip tints. Finn the Label Highlighter Bronzer Duo

If you’re looking for unique and cruelty-free highlighter shades, Finn the Label has them.
