The rainy season has begun and there are a few things we get out of it. We get to layer a little bit if it gets cold enough, we can sip on some warm drinks when we’re cozy in bed, this also marks cuddle weather season. With that comes some not to so good things like blackouts, muddy white shoes, and humidity that ruins a perfect hairdo.

A lot of us spend majority of the morning fixing our hair, only to have it frizz up the moment we step outside. Luckily there are hair products that can help protect our hair from humidity and keep it moisturized all day. The products in this list range from oils to shampoos. Pick one that best suits your hair type and conquer the humidity without fear.

Tresemmé Climate Control Finishing Spray

TRESemme

As the name suggests, this finishing spray protects hair from humidity, wind, and static. Spritz this on dry or almost dry hair for a strong but flexible hold. This is the perfect final step to any hairstyle. You can use it on its own or with the brand’s Climate Protection Shampoo and Conditioner. Available at Watsons.

Bumble and bumble Bb. Curl (Style) Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil

bumble and bumble

This product is great for those who want to flaunt their natural curls without worrying that the humidity will ruining them. What does this frizz-fighting gel-oil do? It offers the control of hair gel without drying it. The oil component nourishes, hydrates, and adds shine to your curly head of hair while lengthening tightly coiled ones. The blend of Brazilian oils also contain UV inhibitors that shield hair from the sun. Available online.

Kérastase Bain Fluidealiste Shampoo

Keraste

If you don’t have enough time to add another step to your hair care routine, replace your shampoo with one that is anti-frizz. The morpho-keratine technology in this product restores flexibility in the hair and disciplines the outer fiber, taming frizz and shielding against humidity. Available at Basement Salon, SM Aura Premier.

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil

Shu Uemura

This protective oil from Shu Uemura can be used in four different ways. Use it as a styling aid, applying one pump with your hands. Comb three pumps into dry hair as a pre-shampoo treatment. Apply one pump each to the sections of your hair and massage into the scalp for a conditioning treatment. You can also leave it in your hair overnight and style as you normally would in the morning. The Camellia oil in this product absorbs rapidly into the hair, rebalancing moisture level and providing all-day UV protection. Available online.
