Sometimes it’s hard to imagine Heart Evangelista not wearing heels. She wears them all the time in different colors and patterns that they’re considered an outfit staple. Along with her Birkins, of course.
Recently, Heart sported flats while in Europe. This prompted surprised and delighted reactions from many, including blogger Cat Arambulo-Antonio and designer Joanna Preysler.
Flats are indeed a rare sight when it comes to Heart’s OOTDs. You’ll have to be observant to catch her wearing a pair on her Instagram account. But we found a few posts featuring her go-to flats and we’re also giving you similar items so you can take shoefies like Heart.
Comfy sneakers
A fan of heart-embellished sneakers, Heart wore a Steve Madden pair while exploring Italy. In the past, she also wore the highly-coveted Gucci Ace Embroidered Sneaker which has a heart on the toe.

Trusty ballet flats
Heart wore nude-colored ballet flats with her trench coat and blue jeans ensemble. She even noted that she’s starting to like wearing this pair. Does that mean she’s going to start wearing these just as much as her heels?

Backless slides are still in
If you loved our list of backless loafers, then you’ll love this style. Heart wore red pointed shoes with a really low heel to go with her Carl Jan Cruz jeans. The pop of red is a good addition to any outfit, especially if you’re wearing muted colors.

Another backless shoe option is this printed one. This pair has a snake skin-like pattern on it, but you can experiment with other designs and embellishments too. According to Heart’s comment on the post, she’ll usually wear this at home or going to her car.

Sandals for the sandy beach
Obviously, you can’t wear heels when you’re at the beach. While Heart has defied that rule a few times, she still wears sandals with her swimsuits. This one in particular has black straps and a brown wooden sole.
