‘Parts Unknown’ season 11 finale premieres two weeks after Anthony Bourdain’s death

It’s been two weeks since the tragic death of Anthony Bourdain and we still see people re-watching his popular shows to remember the chef. Just last night, the season 11 finale of Parts Unknown premiered and it’s probably one of the last few times that we’re going to see Anthony on TV.

The episode was shot in Bhutan where Anthony found his favorite meal at a small restaurant in Thimpu. They had momos, spicy dumplings stuffed with meat, cheese, or vegetables. “If I’m not on camera, chances are I’m somewhere eating these bad boys,” he said. Anthony also visited a local bar that served cocktails topped with Bhutanese pepper for a spicy touch.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Parts Unknown episode without some cultural wisdom. They visited sites overlooking the Himalayas and the home of legendary monk Drukpa Kunley (who he said was “penis-obsessed”). Anthony also watched an archery event, which is said to be common in Bhutan.

That’s just some of the highlights from the season 11 finale. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should because there’s still no news as to what CNN plans to do with the remaining footage for season 12. It will also be a great time to celebrate Anthony’s life and badass wit even more.
