Monday sickness is treatable, trust us

For most of us, Monday is like that killjoy relative who constantly ruins the fun by bringing up some cold, depressing sh*t you really would just rather forget about. Just the thought of all the work left undone, and the endless others still lined up is enough to make even Sundays lousy sometimes. Ever heard of Smonday? Yes, it’s a thing. But Monday doesn’t have to be so bad.

Stay on top of your game and conquer the start of the week with these five easy steps.

Sneak in a few stretches

When the alarm goes off, instead of snoozing repeatedly, get yourself pumped for the day by doing some exercises. It doesn’t have to be intense, just a few stretches or even just jumping up and down will help you let go of the weekend lethargy.

Listen to a kick-ass playlist

Psych yourself up by creating your own Monday playlist that’s sure to keep your blood pumping. Turn up the volume while you’re getting ready, and continue listening to it on your way to work. Come in the office feeling like a total rock star.

Eat a hearty breakfast

Start the week right by starting your day right. Go for something that’s loaded with protein, fiber, and carbohydrates to keep you highly energized throughout the day. We suggest you try our quick and easy PB&J sandwich recipe we bet can rival Kylie Jenner’s.

Power dress

Don’t let Mondays kill your style; kill Mondays instead by strutting your stuff, like the boss that you are. Power dressing goes a long way in making you feel confident and ready to take on the week.

Recite your work mantra

If you don’t have a work mantra, go ahead and make one. It could be something that reminds you of your goals, or the people you’re dedicating all the hard work to. Anything works, really, as long as it keeps you going. Repeat the mantra to self until you’re convinced-slash-effectively achieved the level of sanity required to face another work week.
