Last night, top editors, designers, entertainers, and different luminaries were treated to the debut collection of Mark Bumgarner x Love Marie: a 40-piece collection, 15 of which were hand-painted by actress Heart Evangelista, who went by her birth name Love Marie (Ongpauco-Escudero) for the collaboration.
The result was an experience of sorts. A box set in the middle of the ballroom was lifted to reveal a runway full of models clad in green while celebrities like Lovi Poe and Julia Barretto were spotted on the runway. Embellished and embroidered designs went around the room, and understated pieces were given sexy cuts. Meanwhile, ensembles like a floor-length coat, presented themselves as fitting points of interest for the night.
All in all, the event was enough to keep us excited for this duo’s next project. However, we really wanted to know what the people who were at the gala really thought about the whole collection. We asked the opinions of last night’s varied participants, such as Sen. Chiz Escudero, model Maggie Wilson-Consunji and actress Lovi Poe on how they thought the Mark Bumgarner x Love Marie collection fared.
