After winning her case against former radio DJ David Mueller, Taylor Swift will donate to charities that help out sexual assault victims.
In a statement, Taylor thanked the judge and jurors “for their careful consideration.” Of course, she’s also grateful for her attorneys for fighting against sexual assault “throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial.” She ended it by saying that she will help victims “whose voices should also be heard.”

Taylor filed the case against David after he’d groped her during a 2013 meet and greet. The singer had been firm with her story and didn’t let her assaulter blame her for losing his job. Not to mention that she only countersued for $1 to make a point that sexual assault is wrong in any form.
Congratulations, Taylor! May you empower every woman who went through the same experience.
