With Christmas just around the corner, everyone’s excited about the food, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s Christmas, after all. But once the excitement dies down, there comes regret. You start worrying about the weight you gained and insecurity creeps in.
Sam Smith revealed on Instagram today that he is just like you. He indulges, regrets, and gets insecure, too. But he’s taking the initiative to remind you (and himself) that you should make an effort to love and accept your body no matter what your weight is.
“Christmas time is upon us. This time of the year always triggers body issues with me. I love me some mince pies and all the trimmings, and I always find I gain a bit of weight during this time,” Smith writes in his IG post. “I’m writing this out to you all, but also writing this for myself. Let’s make sure we remind our bodies during this time that no matter what weight we are, we are deserving of love and acceptance.”
We’ll keep this in mind. Thanks, Sam!
