K-Beauty, make way for F-Beauty! Nylon just published an article featuring Filipino make-up brands.
According to the article, the Filipino make-up scene has gotten so much attention from Americans and it started with Sunnies Face. Despite facing criticism for allegedly copying Glossier, the local brand started garnering hype for its Fluffmatte line’s lightweight sheer matte finish.
Another reason why Americans started stanning Filipino beauty brands is that they’re known to be quality products for all—besides being compatible with a lot of skin tones, F-Beauty products are more affordable than many international brands.
Aside from Sunnies Face, among the brands that were mentioned in the article were blk Cosmetics, Happy Skin, Vice Cosmetics, and Careline.
There’s so many more F-Beauty brands that have yet to be discovered, and this is just the start.
