We’re hours away from hearing Lady Gaga’s new single “Stupid Love” and the Little Monsters cannot contain their excitement. (Unless you already heard the leak last month.) The best part is that there’s going to be a music video, which Gaga has been teasing since yesterday, Feb. 27.
So far, two teaser videos have been posted. Before the official “Stupid Love” MV comes out, we tried to decode what’s going to happen as well as try to spot some Easter eggs in it based on the short clips on Gaga’s Instagram. Knowing the singer’s past videos, “Stupid Love” will most likely be another viral masterpiece.
Sci-fi theme
Based on Gaga’s outfit and look alone, she looks like a warrior princess in a sci-fi film. The teasers also show a desert-like setting reminiscent of “Star Wars” and Gaga doing a telekinetic Jedi move to stop a fight. (Yup, definitely convinced she was inspired by “Star Wars.”)
It’s shot on iPhone
The posts have the hashtag #ShotOniPhone. According to The Wrap, the hashtag is part of Apple’s digital campaign to showcase their latest iPhone 11‘s video capabilities.
Lady Gaga doing ASL
At the end of each teaser, Gaga says, “All I ever wanted was love” in sign language.
Spot the Haus Labs products
Haus Labs recently shared how fans can copy the “Stupid Love” MV look using their products. For the lips, she had on Rip Lip Liner in Slayer and Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon in Rebel. For the eyes, Gaga had colorful eyeshadow topped off with her signature winged liner using Liquid Eye-lie-ner in Punk.
